POSTCARDS

627

*

Very enjoyable mounted collection of over 650 Santa Claus picture postcards.  Both mint and used and probably all different, they are nearly all from 1900-1930.  They include some by famous artists, different colored suits and almost every possible activity; drinking and smoking, kissing and spanking, flying and riding balloons, using a telephone, car and outhouse.  Condition is slightly mixed, but this doesn’t detract from the colorful and fascinating portrayals.

Mounted collection of almost 240 picture postcards arranged by topic.  They are nearly all different with the majority used in the teens or before.  Christmas is the best with over 50 assorted Santas, then New Years, Thanksgiving, George Washington and Abraham Lincoln.  An attractive clean group with some unusual cards.

Tray of about 800 PPC mostly unused and mostly in collectable condition.  They generally picture unidentified and long forgotten people, places and things.  Thus the used and/or attributed cards hold the most interest.
