All start with respective 1st issues and other than the DWI run to the early 1990’s. All are largely complete with the Iceland inherently the most valuable (roughly ⅔ of the value) with mint notables 1-3, 5, 7, 10-12, 15 x 2, 16, 19, 20, 27, 30, 34-44B, 49, 53, 68, 74-76, 86-91, 98, 102, 107, 122, 124-126, 128, 138, 149, 150, 163, 213-228, 232-235, 246-252, 273-277, 289-296, C2, C9-C11, O2a, O3, O6, O9, O12, O27, O50-O51, and O63-O67. Used of note are 3, 6-9, 14, 17, 17a, 19, 20, 27, 51, 59, 68, 84-91, 96, 97, 121, 130-138, 149, 170-175, 186, B5, C3 and C15-C20. Faroe Island contains 2-6 both mint and used then complete to the end mint. The Greenland is complete mint in the regulars including the overprint color varieties on the 1945 set plus Q1, Q2, Q5 and Q9 along with used Q3, Q4, Q6 and Q10-11. The Denmark and Iceland are also desirable for the extras which have shade, cancel and perf possibilities. All in all a packed collection worthy of inspection. |

Scandinavia a super collection of many hundred to the late 1990’s in a Scott Specialty album of Norway (about ¾ of the value) and Sweden. Both contain impressive 19th and early 20th century as there are many extras mounted on top of one another which hold terrific shade and cancel possibilities. The collection as a whole is much stronger in the used with most of the mint near the ends. Norway’s notables are 1-34 with extras, 61, 65, 67, 104-110 all used and 60, 275-278, B1-B3, B24, O65-O82 all mint OG. Sweden’s highlights are all used and they are 21, 27, 40-49, 131, O2 x 2, O3, O5 and O7. Looks like they would be great fun to tear down and play with. |
