Used until you hit the Columbians then turns mostly mint with a spicy group of early commems and a pleasing array of Washington Franklins. Also includes a small group of airmails and a bit of BOB. An old Scott’s American album from #1 to 1938. The collection is really more of an accumulation as there are several copies of most stamps. It starts with a nice four margin #1, a mint 11, and 26. Better used items are 70 x 2, 75, 76, 77, 78, 97, 98 x 2, 112-121, 145-154, 156-166, 190, 191, 217, 218, 229 x 2, 238 x 2, 239, 240 and Q1-Q12 x 2. This lovely mostly 20th century lower with a few medium values neatly mounted group was hand selected with quality in mind. Though you will find an occasional Fine centered item here and there. Includes commems, regulars, a few airmails, very little BOB, some booklet panes, postal cards and later ducks. Also lots of postage. An appropriate assembly to expand upon. Take your time with this one. |

Highlights of the used include a 5¢ New York Postmaster Provisional, a couple 1¢, 1851 multiples, 12, 37, 67, 72, a couple 1867-1868 3¢ grills that needs expertising, 118, 137 with cert and 243 on piece. The lone noteworthy mint is 313 with cert. Condition is very mixed with some faults. Careful viewing recommended. |
