Original correspondence of over 280 stampless folded letters, generally to Doctor Walter Wade of Port Gibson of Mississippi, or to his family at their addresses.  Includes many small town cds. from several southern states, plus manuscript cancels and auxiliary markings.  As a correspondence, there is duplication, but it has never been on the philatelic market before.  Therefore, the upside potential is great.

Six large boxes of covers with FDC’s non philatelic covers and lots of stationery.  One of the six is entirely US stationery. The other five are mostly US FDC’s from the 1930’s-1980’s, and the equivalent of about ½ a box of foreign FDC’s.  Also of note are a few hundred HPO’s.  But, the best part are 2 large homemade worldwide cover albums from the 1880’s to about 1910.  Some of the more interesting are US Washington-Franklins, Canal Zone and other interesting countries.  The books do not look like they have seen the light of day in a while.

An old family correspondence from Connecticut of around 2,000 covers.  US is from 1850’s to 1920’s while the foreign is from 1900 to 1950.  US has loads of 3¢ 1851’s, and 1857’s unplated.  Many enclosures.  Condition is very mixed as one might expect after setting in the attic for over 50 years.  Take your time with this one.
