Argentina two very different collections that do not overlap.  An erratic old time collection with duplication to the 1930’s on battered and foxed European pages.  A modern collection nearly complete 1976-1999 NH, including souvenir and miniature sheets, on pristine computer printed pages.  Each has value in its own way.

Austria a neatly mounted two volume cancel collection.  The one album which holds most of the value consists of 1st type imperfs with Czechoslovakia, Hungarian, Austrian, Polish, Italian, Romanian, Yugoslavian, ship, RR and registered cancels.  All have clear readable strikes and there has been no regard for shades or paper possibilities.  A few covers are included including one 1 Kruzer franking.  The 2nd album all Polish town cancels from the late 19th century through the WWI period with the emphasis on covers and cards.  Most everything is identified and could be the basis for an exhibit.

Austria and Offices an incredible collection nicely laid out and written up in forty six 3 ring binders plus a stock book and a few dozen loose pages.  It starts out with extensive 1850 and 1858/1859 issues all with many duplicates for plating and types, papers plus cancel sections for the ethnic areas.  The covers from these issues are also quite valuable.  The 20th century continues with such highlights as both birthday sets both mint and used along with the WIPA stamp both mint x 2 and used x 2.  The semis are nearly complete both mint and used plus loads of covers either commercial or philatelic (sometimes both).  Starting in the mid 1930’s the collector attempted to get every issue mint, used and on 1st day.  He was very successful in this endeavor.  This applies to the regulars, semis and airs but strangely there are no dues or military issues and limited newspapers.  Of added interest are the many identified reprints, multiplies both mint and used, St. Andrews crosses, outstanding cancels, imperfs, color proofs, essays and lastly a whole book of locals.  A truly wonderful collection that was a serious lifetime love affair with everything Austrian.

Austria and Offices group of six rather haphazard table lots on various pages, generally 19th century to 1940’s.  Includes a wide assortment of cancels, perf varieties, etc..  Better singles and sets can be gleaned, but condition could be a problem on the early items.  It’s time to remount these stamps and retire the pages.

Austria and Offices a mounted collection in an old Scott Specialized album of several hundred to about 1970.  The 19th century and early 20th century along with the offices is where the interest lies.  Both are of a specialized nature with extra for shades, perfs, etc..  Also of value are the stamps on auction pages, sales pages and in glassines in the spine.  These are of much the same make up as the rest.
